PROGRAMME COORDINATOR IN SPAIN
My name is Alberto Sabater and I am the Programme Coordinator at Internship Spain.
For over 15 years, I have worked as a Physical Education teacher, a significant part of that time within Vocational Education and Training (VET) in the field of sport, where I have been directly involved in the organisation and supervision of student work placements.
Throughout this period, I have supported hundreds of students, gaining in-depth insight into how mobility programmes operate from within, as well as a clear understanding of the real needs of both educational institutions and learners.
My perspective is grounded in hands-on experience, having been in the same position you are now—as a teacher responsible for organising internships.
In addition, I bring experience in international mobility programmes, having managed close to 400 participants in programmes in the United States. This has enabled me to develop a practical approach to managing students abroad, handling unforeseen situations, and ensuring continuous monitoring throughout the entire mobility period.
At Internship Spain, I personally coordinate each project implemented in Spain. This ensures that both the sending institution and the participants benefit from direct, approachable and continuous support throughout the entire mobility experience.
